There are many membership levels to choose from and you can change from one level to another very easily.
Some membership levels have a pay option that include automatic renewal capability.
Contributions to ASNY are not deductible as charitable contributions. They may be deductible as trade or business expenses if ordi nary and necessary in the conduct of the taxpayer’s business. Based on our expenditures for lobbying efforts, ASNY estimates that 65% of your dues is tax deductible.

1a. Professional Member

Voting. Any individual holding a New York State Acupuncture license in good standing and who meets the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, is eligible for Professional Member status.
1b. Professional Member auto-renew each year

Any individual holding a New York State Acupuncture license in good standing and who meets the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, is eligible for Professional Member status.
1c. Professional Member Monthly

Voting. Any individual holding a New York State Acupuncture license in good standing and who meets the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, is eligible for Professional Member status.
2a. Professional Member, First year Monthly

First year in practice only. Voting. Any individual holding a New York State Acupuncture license in good standing and who meets the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, is eligible for Professional Member status.
2b. Professional Member, First Year

First year in practice only. Voting. Any individual holding a New York State Acupuncture license in good standing and who meets the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, is eligible for Professional Member status.
3. Student Member
- Free
Subscription period: 1 year
No recurring payments
Non-voting. Any individual not eligible for Professional Membership, who is currently enrolled in a school of acupuncture or Oriental Medicine, whose curriculum meets or exceeds the requirements of the state where it is located and meets the criteria which will allow the student to sit for the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) examination or its equivalent and meets the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, are eligible for status as a Student Member.
4a. Faculty Member, auto-renew
- $125.00 (USD)
Subscription period: 1 year

Non-voting. Any association or corporation accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine to teach acupuncture and/or Oriental medicine, which meet the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, is eligible for status as an Academic Member.
4b. Faculty Member
- $125.00 (USD)

Non-voting. Any association or corporation accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine to teach acupuncture and/or Oriental medicine, which meet the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, is eligible for status as an Academic Member.
5a. Organizational Member
- $500.00 (USD)
Subscription period: 1 year
No recurring payments
Non-voting. Any entity engaged in a trade, industry, service or profession related to the acupuncture industry, who meet the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, is eligible for status as an Organizational Member.
5b. Organizational Member, auto-renew
- $500.00 (USD)
Subscription period: 1 year
Automatic renewal (recurring payments)
Non-voting. Any entity engaged in a trade, industry, service or profession related to the acupuncture industry, who meet the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, is eligible for status as an Organizational Member.
6. Allied Health Professional Member
- $50.00 (USD)
Subscription period: 1 year
Automatic renewal (recurring payments)
Non-voting. Any individual not eligible for Professional Membership but who meets state requirements for licensure, certification or registration as a health care provider, supports the principles and purposes of the Association, and meets the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, are eligible for status as an Allied Health Professional Member.
7. Friend Member
- $25.00 (USD)
Subscription period: 1 year
No recurring payments
Non-voting. Any person who does not qualify for or does not wish to participate in any of the above membership categories but supports the principles and purposes of the Association, and meets the qualifications established by the Board of Directors, are eligible for status as a Friend Member.
