According to ancient Vedic or East Indian sacred texts, chakras are defined as "wheels" that refer to spinning vortexes of concentrated energy that run up the spine of the human body. Together they form a network where all selves (mind, body and spirit) can merge. There are seven major energy centers where life energy is received, transmitted and processed. Each center corresponds to different aspects of our functioning and is associated with specific body tissues. Food is not only its chemical composition but also has a specific energy vibration that interacts with these chakras influencing us on all levels. Keeping our chakras balanced through our nutrition and lifestyle keeps us functioning optimally and provides the opportunity to maximize our human experience. Through a holistic lens, this seminar will explore how food characteristics impact our chakras and provide an opportunity to discover our pathway to healing and a life of vitality. 0.3 CEUs ACE, 0.4 CEUs NASM, 3.5 PDA Points NCCAOM
