The Acupuncture Society of New York was established in 1990 to promote the growth and preserve the integrity of the acupuncture profession in New York State. As the largest professional membership organization in the state, ASNY helps practitioners, students and educators contribute to the evolution of their profession.

1. Serving practitioners and students: through ASNYGram, Meridian Times, ASNY.org, ASNY E-News, legislative work, continuing education, member benefits, referral service, insurance relations, and meetings.
2. Serving the public: through lectures, publications, working with the media, legislative work, referral service, and website.
3. Serving the profession: through legislative work, participating at national conferences, relationships with state associations, national organizations and vendors, continuing education and publications.

ASNY’s committees are groups of people who work together in an area they are juiced or passionate about. Each ASNY member is encouraged to join a committee that interests them, or ask for help on an issue from a committee chair. Committee chairs hold a vision for what that committee is about, coordinate those involved, and keep people engaged in a process or project.
