Coalition Website: The Coalition is a newly formed group working both independently and in conjunction with ASNY in a legislative venue serving New York State. AAOM (American Association of Oriental Medicine) The Association is a national organization that was started in 1981 and is currently based in the west whose mission statement, in part, is to ensure that Oriental Medicine providers are given their rightful place in the healthcare system. Site worth visiting. AOMA (AOM Alliance) Basically a vender group. The name implies a focus on Eastern medicine, however, that does not appear to be the case. Seems to be a decent source of current information. NCAAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) This is the site for the “National Board” in acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Oriental Medicine and Eastern Massage. It is also a national registry for prospective patients, et. al. CCAOM (Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) This organization accredits acupuncture colleges.
