ASNY’s committees are groups of people who work together in an area they are juiced or passionate about. Each ASNY member is encouraged to join a committee that interests them, or ask for help on an issue from a committee chair. Committee chairs hold a vision for what that committee is about, coordinate those involved, and keep people engaged in a process or project.

Join a committee that interests you, ask for help on an issue from the appropriate committee chair, or suggest a new committee that would be useful to patients, practitioners or students.

This committee consists of the Chair, Chair Emeritus, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. It provides overall leadership for the Board of Directors, and helps guide the direction and long-range purpose of the Society.

ASNY.org is an important resource for our community, devoted to providing useful and interesting information for acupuncturists, students, and patients. This committee maintains and improves the quality and content of the site.

The Law and Legislation Committee is responsible for monitoring legislative activity and laws related to acupuncture, and coordinate appropriate responses to these developments. The L & L committee also leads ASNY’s efforts to promote new legislation that would benefit patients and the profession.

ASNY can provide high-quality continuing education offerings for professionals. The CE committee selects presenters, schedules and organizes these events.

As the future of our profession, students are an integral part of ASNY’s life and activities. This committee keeps ASNY connected with ASNY student representatives at New York schools, receives feedback from students, and helps students participate in the growth and development of their profession.

ASNY provides its members with an extensive group of discounts on professional supplies and educational materials. This committee cultivates and maintains relationships with companies that serve our profession’s needs, and offer discounts to our members. It also coordinates vendor advertising and participation in ASNY events.
